The macduff story

Five years after opening the first MacDuff's in Greenwich, Connecticut with his brother Scott, Iain teamed up with his good friend Joe and they headed west to South Lake Tahoe. Iain and Joe wanted to bring the fine food and drink that have made the original MacDuff's so successful to Lake Tahoe, California. MacDuff's South lake Tahoe opened December of 2010 and has been providing great food, drink, and service to both our locals and tourist ever since. 

The idea behind our menu at MacDuff's is fairly simple, pub food done right. This means everything made from scratch and ingredients sourced locally when possible. From in-house ground burgers, to handcut fries, to hand tossed pizza dough our kitchen makes it in-house. The vast majority of our beer and wine come from right here in California. Our signature cocktails are crafted with daily fresh squeezed juices. During the summer we love utilizing the local farmers markets. Two of our favorite farms out of Placerville, California, Hooverville and Prez Farms,  provide heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, and stone fruits for our salads. Our focus is on quality and care to provide our customers with the best possible dining experience.
